Polyester filter bags are capable of capturing dust particles and gas derivatives down to 0.5–1 micron with 99% efficiency. It is grouped as 525-550 grams per square meter and is used to retain aggressive dust such as calcite and kaolin in the cement and filler industry. It can be given hydrophobic and oleophobic properties by subjecting it to water and oil repellent impregnation. As a result, it provides long-term resistance against dust and pollution in extremely humid and oily environments.
